So farmers are also called agriculturists. Agriculturists engage themselves in agriculture and related activities to lead their life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plants grown on field are called crops. They work in some other person&#8217;s field to earn their living. Many rules have been implemented to solve the problems of the farm labourers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#a10c39\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Small scale farmers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small scale farmers own a piece of land of their own. They sell the crop, they grow in their field and earn money to lead life. They also face a number of problems. Shortage of money to cultivate the land. &nbsp;As the land holding is little, their earning is not self sufficient to lead the family. \u2022 Many times they don&#8217;t get water for the land because of poor irrigation facilities. \u2022 They lack proper guidance to grow crops that suit soil fertility of their land or the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">A number of steps have been taken to solve their problems<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monetary aid through bank loans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irrigation facilities through canals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from these, many more solutions have been provided to these farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Large scale farmers<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>large scale farmers own more agricultural land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They purchase and use modern agricultural equipment\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They store the grains in barns (godowns) and sell it when they get a better price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;They utilize the monetary facilities of the banks .Their income is high as they grow different crop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Agricultural land has been classified into two categories.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Slide3-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1882\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Slide3-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Slide3-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Slide3-2.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1) Rain fed agricultural land<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;2) Irrigated agricultural land<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\"><strong>Rain Fed agricultural land:<\/strong>&#8211; <\/span>Agricultural land which falls under less rainfall areas is called rain-fed agricultural land. Crops which require less water and are suitable for that soil, are grown there. Rain-fed cultivation is called kuski or dry land cultivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color:#ce24c6\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>2. Irrigated agricultural land<\/strong>:<\/span>Water is an important wealth for farmers. Cultivation of crops is impossible without water. Rain is the main source of water. We don&#8217;t get rain all the time. So water is stored in different sources and utilized to cultivate the land. Apart from rain, water is supplied to the crops from ponds, canals, wells and bore wells. Water is distribute through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. Depending on how well designed, installed, maintained, and operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Spray (sprinkles) irrigation: water is sprayed over the crops uniformly as in rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#a01481\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Uses of drip irrigation and spray irrigation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drip irrigation is used in&nbsp;farms, commercial&nbsp;greenhouses, and residential&nbsp;gardens.&nbsp;Drip irrigation for garden available in drip kits are increasingly popular for the homeowner and consist of a&nbsp;timer,&nbsp;hose&nbsp;and emitter. And the Spray irrigation they are also&nbsp;<strong>used<\/strong>&nbsp;for cooling and for the control of airborne dust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organic farming:-Organic farming is a method of crop and livestock production that involves much more than choosing not to use pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics and growth hormones. Plantation farming <\/strong>:<\/span> Fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea or flowers are grown instead of food crops on the agricultural lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Storing and preserving the grains after the harvest of the crop is also very important. Food grains\/products are being grown on large scale. Granaries have been constructed to store and preserve food grains\/products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agriculture and farmers are like two wheels of a cart. Agriculture is the main occupation of our country.
