It is called the Exponential form. This is written like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">10<sup>9<\/sup> <sup>Exponent<\/sup><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here 10 is the base and 9 is the exponent and this complete number is the power. We pronounce it as 10 raised to the power 9. Standard form to write the natural numbers like xyz000000&#8230;&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>&nbsp;First of all count the number of digits from left leaving only the first digit.<br><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>&nbsp;To write it in exponent or standard form, write down the first digit.<br><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>&nbsp;If there are more digits in the number then put a decimal after the first digit and then write down the other digits until the zero comes. And if there are no digits after the first digit then skip this step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Now place a multiplication sign and then write down the counted digits in the first step as the exponent to the base number 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/e6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3161\" width=\"147\" height=\"124\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Express 1730000000000 in exponent form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Solution:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In standard form, the number 1730000000000 will be written as 1.73 x 10<sup>12<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">2. Standard form to write decimal numbers like 0.00000&#8230;..xyz.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0First of all count the number of digits from the decimal point to the last digit.<br><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0If there is only one digit after the zeros then simply write down that digit. Place a multiplication sign and write down the counted digits in step-1 with a negative sign as the exponent to base number 10.<br><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0If there are two or more non-zero digits at the end of the number. When their exponents are the same then we can compare the numbers and check which number is large or small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Example<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compare the two numbers 4.56 \u00d7 10<sup>8<\/sup>&nbsp;and 392 \u00d7 10<sup>7<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To compare these numbers, we need to make their exponents same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4.56 \u00d7 10<sup>8<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">392 \u00d7 10<sup>7<\/sup>&nbsp;= 39.2 \u00d7 10<sup>8<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
