They are 0,1,2 ,3 ,4 ,5, 6, 7, 8,9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To represent anything higher than 9, we add 0 to the original place and add 1 to its left side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our number system, we have the idea of place value; the value of a digit depends on its place or position in the number. Numbers can be written in general form, thus a 2 digit number a, b will be written as <\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">ab = 10 X a + b = 10a + b \nba = 10 X b + a = 10b + a<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Three digit numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 3- digit number abc made up of digits a, b and c is written as<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><em>Abc&nbsp; = 100 X a + 10 X b + c\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;= 100a + 10b + c<\/em><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Order of arithmetic operators<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generally the acronym PEMDAS is common. It stands for<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"296\" height=\"383\" src=\"http:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PEMDAS.png\" alt=\"PEMDAS\" class=\"wp-image-629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PEMDAS.png 296w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PEMDAS-232x300.png 232w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 296px) 100vw, 296px\" \/><figcaption>PEMDAS<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>PEMDAS is often expanded to the mnemonic &#8220;Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Number game trick for dividing by 11,<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/number-games-1-1024x444.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-619\"\/><figcaption>divisible by 11 rule<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For any given two-digit number reverse the number and add it to the original number then on dividing it by 11, the remainder is always zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The steps followed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <strong>Step 1<\/strong> select any two digit number ab which can be expressed as 10a + b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">ab = (10xa)+(1xb) = 10a+b\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>step 2<\/strong> reverse its digit that is a b will become BA which can be expressed as 10 b + a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">ba = (10xb)+(1xa) = 10b+a<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong> Add both the numbers that is AB + BA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">ab+ba = (10a+b)+(10b+a)\n      = 10a+a+10b+b\n      = 11a+11b\n      = 11(a+b)<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>step 4<\/strong> divide the number by 11 and that is 11 (A + B) divided by 11. 11 and 11 gets canceled and we have a + b hence remainder will be zero under any case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">11(a+b)\n-------  = a+b =&gt; Zero remainder\n11<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trick for dividing by 9.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"702\" src=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg-1024x702.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-621\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg-1024x702.png 1024w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg-768x527.png 768w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg-1536x1053.png 1536w, https:\/\/themindpalace.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/divisible-by-9.jpg.png 1641w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>divisible by 9 rule<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for a given, a two-digit number reverses the number and subtracts the smaller number from the bigger number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;on dividing it by 9 will always result in a zero remainder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the steps followed to understand the trick are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">select any two digit number ab and express 10a + b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">reverse the number ab to ba which can be expressed as 10 b + a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">step 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;subtract both the numbers that is ab minus ba<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">so we get (10 a + b) \u2013 (10 b + a )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">next step<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">it becomes 9 a minus b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">divided by 9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9 and 9 get cancelled hence remainder will be zero under any case<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alpha numeral puzzles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rules for<\/strong> Alpha numeral puzzles<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Each letter in the puzzle must stand for just one digit.
